Escorts Kubota Limited has launched its third-generation rice transplanters- the KA6 and the KA8 across seven of the Indian states. These models aim at meeting the growing demand for mechanized paddy solutions in the states of Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Telangana.

The two models offer fuel-efficient engines, putting out 21 and 24 in the KA6 and  KA8 respectively. Each of these transplanters is equipped with an intelligent turn system and an auto-lift device to ensure smooth cornering. A multi-function control lever and horizontal control mechanism maintain uniform planting depth for better crop growth.

The redesigned planting claws reduce missed planting, while an improved seedling picking guide then further enhances the precision of planting and maintains consistency in yield throughout the field. Operator comfort comes with a wider platform, ergonomic layout and LED lights that assist in post-sunset operations. A longer wheelbase and lighter planting section guarantee stability over wet, uneven fields and enable efficient work in deep paddy conditions.

Bharat Madan, Chief Financial Officer & Wholetime Director, highlighted the strategic role of mechanization: “India’s farmers sustain the nation through demanding work. Escorts Kubota views mechanization as a national mission to empower farmers, improve efficiency and advance sustainability. The KA Series transforms a labor-intensive process into one that combines precision, comfort and innovation. We aim to increase productivity and reliability for farmers across the country by integrating world-class technology with local insights.”

Rajan Chugh, Chief Officer, Agri Solutions Business Division, said, “The KA6 and KA8 represent farmer-centric innovation. Designed to solve field challenges like labour shortages and long working hours, these transplanters assure consistent performance, year after year. Higher horsepower, smart turning, and ergonomic design make rice transplanting faster, uniform and profitable.

With more than 80 years of experience, Escorts Kubota Limited manufactures tractors under the brand names Farmtrac, Powertrac, and Kubota, as well as Farmpower agricultural machinery and construction equipment. The introduction of the KA6 and KA8 reinforces EKL's commitment to precision agriculture, helping support India's farmers with modern, dependable mechanization solutions.
