Mahindra & Mahindra posted a 13% rise in domestic tractor sales for June 2025. The company sold 51,769 tractors in India, up from 45,888 units last year. Sales grew based on rural demand, strong Rabi cash flow, and good monsoon rains.
Mahindra’s tractor sales gained from monsoon spread and land preparation for the Kharif season. The rains came early, helping farmers start work on time. Fields were ready. Crop plans moved fast. Cash from the Rabi harvest gave farmers the means to buy new tractors. Veejay Nakra, President of Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Business, said the harvest was a key factor in the sales surge.
In total, Mahindra sold 53,392 tractors in June 2025. That includes 1,623 units exported abroad. Export sales also grew 13% year-over-year. The overall trend points to a strong global and domestic demand for Mahindra’s tractors.
From April to June 2025, Mahindra sold 129,199 tractors in India. That’s 10% higher than last year’s 116,930 units. The company says more farmers now upgrade their machines due to better earnings and record food grain output.
Rice, wheat, and pulse production are high. Government schemes aim to raise farm incomes. Both trends support future tractor sales. Analysts expect the India tractor market to stay strong through the season.
Mahindra remains the market leader in the tractor segment. It’s the largest tractor maker by volume, both in India and worldwide. The company began in 1945 and now operates in over 100 countries, with 260,000 employees.
The farm equipment unit is central to Mahindra’s plan for rural prosperity. It works alongside Mahindra’s urban ventures in IT, real estate, and hospitality.
